About DHD Custom Shades
DHD Custom Shades was founded in 2006 with excellence in mind. Since then, we specialize in custom made roman shades that are unique, made to order, and 100% crafted by hand.
Jose Hernandez and his wife Leticia created this company with the dream to make window shades that brough designers’ visions to life.
Jose was first introduced to crafting roman shades as a young adult. Working and learning the art of making roman shades he became fascinated with the craft. This found passion inspired him to open his own workshop. This hard work and dedication have always guided them building their business into a successful company.
Our process
Consultation
The process begins with discussing the type of shades proposed. We place high value and importance in understanding all the details of the project.
Placing The Order
Once we understand all the details of the project, we can provide an estimate for the order. We can also provide a list and quantity of materials needed.
Materials Verification
Once we receive the fabrics. We make sure the color, design, texture and yardage are as requested.
The Crafting
Because we pride ourselves in doing the best work possible and we do it by hand, it takes two to three weeks to complete the order. Of course, the size of the order and the detail in crafting also influences the timeline.
